Match Reports - Week 8

Colts A&B Football v Copthorne

We started well with Tom Burnell and Dominic Boyes having a few shots at goal. Harry Bartley played very well in midfield and Luke Neill played well in defence. In the second half we started well and were passing the ball around and defending well. After five minutes Harry played the ball to me and I scored from outside the box, 1-0 to Tavi. Three minutes later Harry got the ball from Jon Silverman and scored from just outside the box on the right hand side to make it 2-0. Jonny then did and amazing run from his own half and had a shot that just missed. Max Djuric also had a chance late on. Well done Tavi. (Words by Cameron Crocker)

In the second match the B team put in a dominant performance, rarely allowing the opposition into our half. Montague Leigh played exceptionally well, capping off his performance with an excellent goal, and Cameron Homer also scored to make the final score 2-0. Well done, a superb performance from the team and two well deserved victories.

Under 9's Football v Copthorne

The team played a great game, our best of the season! Charles scored our first goal and Theo got the second.

We all marked our players well and battled for the ball superbly. Christopher made some great tackles, despite his tumble. We ended the first half 4-0 up, thanks to Edward's two goals.

The second half went just as well, with a solid performance from the whole team. I managed to score four more goals which resulted in an 8-1 victory. Well done team. (Words by Darius Dosieah)

Under 8's Football v Copthorne

We enjoyed our football match against Copthorne 'B' team which we won 3-0. Alex played well in midfield and Harry scored all three goals. Luckily the weather was good and the team played really well together. We played the A team later and lost 2-0, but the team was tired after the effort in the first game. (Words by Ethan Barlow)

1st Netball v Copthorne

Our match was split into quarters, each was a new game. In the first quarter they managed to get four goals, in the second we improved and scored a goal, unfortunately they managed to score three. In the third quarter it was 1-0 to Copthorne, and the fourth quarter we played very well and kept the scores at 0-0. Better luck next time. (Words by Francesca Jackson)

Under 9's Netball v Brambletye

It was a good match and the first proper match of the season. The Brambletye team were very strong and scored seven goals in total. We only got two goals but tried our hardest. Tilly was very good at intercepting the ball and Laura was really good at dodging her marker and getting free. Phoebe was very good as Goal shooter scoring both our goals. Everyone tried very hard. Under 8's Netball v Brambletye

In the match Lucy Jurkowski was good at getting the ball but we did not manage to score. Brambletye scored two goals and won the game. We had lots of fun, better luck next time Tavi. (Words by Amy Holness)
