Our first match was against Ardingly 'A' team. Quick passing and accurate shooting enabled us to take a quick lead and eventually we won 6-0. The second match was against Ardingly 'B' team. They marked really well which made for a good match. The final score was 4-0 to Tavi. An excellent set of results for the team. (Words by Sophie White)

The match was split into thirds. In the first third Brambletye scored but they didn't get the conversion. Then they scored again. We managed to get into their half more after the break but they broke free and scored another. By the end of the match they had scored five tries, making the final score 25-0. Our man of the match was Alex who tackled very well. (Words by Charles Newey)
Under 9's Rugby v Brambletye
An impressive and very solid team performance for our first full contact match of the season. From the off, the standard of rucking was very high. The opening try came in the sixth minute from a rather untidy ruck situation that saw Tavistock move the ball quickly to Charles Douglas who evaded a few tackles to dive over in the right corner. We made several territorial gains. Brambletye responded with some concerted periods of possession and good field positions. Five minutes before half time, Luc Horwood had the necessary pace to run round his man and some rather sleepy cover defence to run in untouched for Tavistock's second try. Battle began after half time in much the same way as the match had started. James Scott added a third try by somehow weaving his way through traffic near the touchline, closely followed by another try from midfield, taking advantage of handling errors. Tavistock did particularly well with tackles and really threw themselves into the game. Final score was 20-20. (Words by Charles Douglas)
