Match Reports - Week 6
Colts v Fonthill Lodge
We started off well pushing up the field. We had many chances but they either missed the target or were saved. It was a quiet half, but Fonthill managed to score two minutes before half time. After making some subsitutions they became stronger and unfortunately scored another two goals. The end score was 3-0, better luck next time. (Words by Harry Bartley).
Under 9's v Fonthill Lodge
An excellent performance from the team, in heavy rain, saw them dominate from the first whistle until the last. Fonthill rarely got into our half of the pitch and we scored the only goal of the game early into the second half. A great ball from Theo Van Vliet, who was instrumental to our success, found Alex Fitzsimons unmarked in the middle of the penalty box and he cooly slotted home the ball. Well done to all of the team and a special mention must also go to Chris Brooks and George Herbert who played extremely well in defence.
Under 8's v Fonthill Lodge
In their third game of the season the team faced opposition with a mixture of Under 8's and 9's. This proved to be the decisive factor as the Under 9 striker for Fonthill scored a hat-trick. However, the team played exceptionally well and there was excellent defending from Harry Rienecker-Found, good support play from George Rodriguez and Alex Dench, plus some excellent saves form Ethan Barlow in the second half. Overall a good effort from the team.
U10/11/12/13 Pop Lacrosse v Brambletye
We started the afternoon with some throwing, catching and picking up the ball. Then we went straight into the match. In the first half they scored 3 goals and we scored one, but we were very nervous as it was our first ever match. In the second half we managed to get into the game and scored three goals, however, Brambletye scored another five. The final score was 8-4 to Brambletye, better luck next time Tavi.
