THANK YOU
It has been a terribly frustrating time this week with the weather keeping us out of school and I have been very grateful for your patience and understanding. I realize that it is vitally important to inform you at the earliest opportunity if the school cannot open and I shall endeavour to be in school as early as possible should there be further occasions when heavy snow is forecast. If there is any doubt I would ask that you do not set off until I have confirmed that we will be operating as usual. Local conditions can vary and often, though conditions may be conducive to driving on the main roads, simply getting out of your drive or down your lane may be particularly hazardous. I would much rather you get to school safe and sound but late rather than take a risk on the conditions. Similarly, though it has not happened yet, if we begin school as normal but poor weather conditions sweep in, please do contact us about collecting early should you be concerned about the journey. I am not hopeful that we have seen the last of these difficult conditions yet. We shall do everything we can to open the school and to keep it open but, of course, the safey of everyone generally and the children particularly must be the prime consideration.
