Horrible History

No, not what you might think! You may be aware of the 'Horrible History' series of books? Well, following this theme, a young band of energetic thespians have devised two highly entertaining and, more importantly, informative performances to give children an idea of what the Great War and WW2 were like, the reasons why they occurred and how these wars were resolved. The 'Frightful First World War' and the 'Woeful Second World War' employed some impressive 3D visual imagery which Yr6 pupils (and accompanying teachers) enjoyed through the miracle of 'Boggle Goggles'. And I have to admit that on more than one occasion I leapt from my seat, due either to these rather spectacular effects or from the occasionally loud and unexpected sound-track to the performance. All in all the trip down to Worthing was very worthwhile, educational, entertaining and rewarding for all.
