Shoe Box Appeal

Brian Barnes of the Haywards Heath Lions Club, pictured above with the Heads of School Elinor Haskew and Matthew Buck, visited us last Friday and, in a special assembly, thanked all the children from Reception to Year 8 for their wonderful generosity in putting together around 70 boxes for the appeal.  The boxes are sent out to Gomel which is in the far South East corner of Belarus.  Many children there are still suffering from the terrible effects of the Chernobyl disaster and all the help, support, gifts and essentials that we can provide are very gratefully received.  As ever, I am constantly amazed by your generosity and would like to add my thanks to Brian's.  We shall continue to support this very worthwhile charity in the future.
