SPORTS DAY SUCCESS

Senior School Inter-House Sports Day at Whiteman's Green on Saturday was a tremendous success.  The weather was kind to us and the competitors, of all ages and sizes, put in tremendous, in some cases record-breaking, performances.

The event was, as always, very well supported and, thanks to the organisation of Mr Gregory and Mrs Diack, ran very smoothly indeed.

As ever, the highlight was the participation of the grown-ups.  Here (above) Mrs Burgess takes the honours in the mum's race and (below) Mr Newey (second from the right) successfully defends his crown.

My thanks also to all the staff for supporting the event and particularly to Mrs Springer who worked very hard collating all the results (below).  I would also like to thank Alfie Moore for his outstanding sportsmanship in re-running the Junior 100m after there was some doubt as to the result of the first race, it being so close.
