TASTER DAYS

Taster Days are all about giving children the chance to come and visit Tavistock and Summerhill School and to find out, first hand, what makes the School such a special place to be. 

Ring Mrs Sweeney on 01444 450 256 and, along with Mrs Gaughran, the Deputy Head, we will organize a day for your child.

Taster Days are usually available every day of the week, with the exception of Wednesdays, where the school will be involved in matches in the afternoon.

If you son or daughter has a particular interest or strength in a certain subject, then we will seek to ensure that that plays a part in his or her Taster Day.

In addition to this, the Headmaster would be happy to meet with you in his Study to talk about the school and what makes it so successful for each individual child.

The School's small class sizes, where around 14 pupils are in each class, mean that children gets answers quickly and, because of this, they make rapid progress.  But, more importantly, Tavistock and Summerhill is a happy place to be, where children can enjoy their day to day learning experience!
